How do I become a member?  
To become a member, please complete our registration form. Shortly after you have completed your registration, you will receive a welcome letter in your email from iVillage. In the welcome letter you will receive instructions on how to ACTIVATE your NEW iVillage membership. Also, please enable your cookies before attempting to register.

How do I change my member name or create a new one?
It is not possible to change your member name. If you are unhappy with your current member name, you can add a new member name to your existing account. To do so, go to this page. This will bring up a list of current member names you have with your account. Type the name of your choice in the field to create a new member name.
 
How do I change my password?
You can change your password here . Just click on the Change your password link in the middle of the screen.

I lost my password; how can I retrieve it?
To retrieve your password, go here. Enter your email address that you used when signing up, and your password will be emailed to that address.

How do I update my newsletter subscriptions?
To manage your newsletter subscriptions, go here. In the lower, right hand corner you will see a list of the newsletters you are subscribed to. Click on the link below there that says Manage your subscriptions.

Is there an age requirement to become a member?
iVillage is a general-audience Website and is not intended for use by children 13 and under. The services provided behind the member wall may require the collection of personally identifiable information, and in order to comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we ask that our members meet the specified age requirement.

Is it free to join?
There is no charge for joining iVillage -- it's absolutely free! If you've read our terms and conditions and they have led you to believe you would be charged for becoming a member, please let us explain. The reason our terms and conditions read this way is to protect you; we would have to notify you if we did ever charge for anything and give you the option of declining.

How do I activate my membership? I never received my email confirmation.
How do I activate my membership? I never received my email confirmation.
   After you have registered with iVillage, the system automatically sends you an activation email that you should receive instantly. Unfortunately, some email providers have spam filters in place that block our email unless you have approved it. Other email providers receive our email directly in a bulk folder that is intended to collect spam.
    If you did not receive your activation letter, you can write us at feedback@mail.ivillage.com from the address that you registered with, and request that we activate your account for you. Please note that unless you have adjusted your spam filter options, we may not be able to reply to your request, as replies are often returned to us with notification that the messages have been blocked. We have several email addresses that our system sends from, so please be sure to add feedback@mail.ivillage.com to your list so that we can correspond with you.
